Licensing

The EmPresent product is licensed on "product line" basis and can be purchased with one-time payment and does not have any royalty for deployment of developed applications.

EmPresent facilitates its users following four licensing schemes. These licensing schemes provide options to meet the varied customer needs in a project:

  • The Development License (Single user/multiple user) is available for developing user interface for a particular product line. This license is basic license available for customers who are planning to build Embedded GUI.

  • The Deployment License (Product Line) which provides unlimited desktop development seats engaged for developing user interface & deployment for a single product line. Re-purchase of license is required when project output application product line changes. However low price edition, compact edition, same product with different appearance or any other minor change will be regarded as same product line and in such cases re purchase is not required. A typical product line is like a model of security devices, factory automated devices measurement devices, digital cameras and printers etc.

  • The SI Kit License which has to be bundled with product line license is for the customers who are planning to build UI on various different platforms and planning for different hardware change like LCD size change, I/O device change etc.

  • The Deployment License (Product Category) with this it is possible to prepare a series of product UI with the available source code.

  • The Upgrades are available in three categories:


    • Upgrade Development License with Deployment (Product Line).
    • Upgrade Development License with Deployment (Product Category)
    • Upgrade Deployment( product Line) with Deployment (Product Category)
