HCL EmPresent and ITTIA Database unite to deliver optimized embedded database and graphical development solutions.

HCL Technologies and ITTIA have announced a partnership focused on guaranteeing seamless development of embedded database and graphical applications.

February 27, 2006 - Bellevue, WA - ITTIA Database and HCL Technologies, a developer of the smart GUI toolkit EmPresent, have announced a strategic alliance aimed at helping customers to develop embedded technologies with reduced cost and accelerated time to market. This alliance unites the breadth and depth of each company's developer toolsets enabling easy, productive, and intelligent development of embedded software.

ITTIA provides light-weight database management software for the embedded systems industry, working in such devices as networking equipment, industrial controllers, consumer electronics, and set-top boxes. ITTIA database technology is suitable for mission-critical devices and environments with extremely limited memory and processor resources.

HCL EmPresent, a smart GUI toolkit with powerful Visual Editor on Windows, offers embedded application developers a rich set of widgets to build a powerful embedded multilingual Graphical User Interface (GUI) that is platform independent.

With ITTIA's database and HCL's EmPresent Visual Editor software, developers no longer have to write data management or GUI source code from scratch. This combination gives developers both an interface framework and database development support in one package. At CES, HCL introduced EmPresent 4.00.00, the latest version of the company's smart GUI toolkit that features powerful visual development tools and a rich set of widgets to build embedded multilingual Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs).
